Good southern italian food, generous portions and friendly service. The only problem I have is that the customers are a little too noisy, but most of my friends like that. They say it is like one big party.

I normally do not like loud, crowded, brightly lit restaurants, however the food is very good and although the portions, even the small portions, are too large (we end up taking most of the food home), whenever my wife and I feel like having south Italian style food, this is where we like to eat. By the way, my wife says that the eggplant parmigiana is delicious. I like the veal parmigiana. This veal tastes like real veal, not like the poor quality veal served nowdays in most Italian restaurants.

Buca di Beppo is a great place to visit with a group of friends or family. The servings are so large that everyone can order something different, share with everyone else and still take food home. The food is delicious and I almost never have to cook the next day because of the leftovers.

I can't tell you how many times I've eaten there. What an ambience! The walls are covered with Italian themed wallpaper and photos abound. Photos everywhere of famous Italian actors and singers and Italians doing whatever they can be found doing in Italy. There are many different sized rooms to dine in as well as a Pope themed room for the Catholics :) You better have a HUGE appetite if you go there. The food portions are humongous. Pizzas are server on platters on top of extra large tomato cans. You can even reserve the table in the kitchen and watch the chef cook your meal. I have celebrated several birthdays there. Always a great time. It's definitely loud in there and wine is consumed abundantly. Buca is the perfect place to celebrate with 8 or more people.
