I recently had lunch at Burger Continental. I had never eaten there before but heard good things about it. It’s a Greek restaurant that is well known for its burgers. We were seated immediately and chose to sit on the outdoor patio. The décor is simple and unpretencious and our server was very pleasant and helpful.

There were quite a lot of items to chose from on the menu and all reasonably priced. I’m not very adventurous when it comes to dining. I typically don’t order things I haven’t heard of or can’t pronounce. It makes for what I call “Orderer’s Regret” (being stuck with a dish of food I’m not interested in and looking at all of the more appealing plates being served to other customers, eating the salad and stopping a drive thru on the way home).

I intended to order kabobs and a salad, figuring that was safe, when our server suggested the luncheon buffet. I typically shy away from buffets but noticed that the items I was interested in on the menu were available at the buffet. I figured I could try each of the items I was interested in, maybe even get a little adventurous and spend $9.99 instead of $12.99 ordering the individual dish.

I was surprised at the selection. The buffet was well stocked and looked fresh. It was two tables long, one of which I would call the adventurous table with pastes and other exotic looking stuff. The other, more my speed, had salad, tacos and kabobs. I hope you didn’t think I was kidding when it comes to being adventurous with my food! They had steak and chicken kabobs, rice, tacos, two different types of salads. I found myself with quite a plate when I noticed that at the end of the adventurous table there was soup. My server happened to be right there and told me that it was cream of vegetable soup and offered to bring a bowl to my table, seeing that my hands were full.

I enjoyed my lunch. The chicken kabob was very tasty and so was the accompanying rice. I tried both the Greek and cucumber salads and enjoyed them very much and I’m very picky about salads, especially the dressing. I found the ground beef for the tacos greasy and very un-Mexican tasting. The cream of vegetable soup was really good and was the highlight of my lunch.

All in all, I had an above average dining experience. The atmosphere was inviting, the service was helpful and the food was good. I would definitely revisit this restaurant

I've been eating at BC for over 30 years. Tony the owner and Maria, the waitress with most seniority, really make even newcomers feel like they are at home. The food is either Mediterranean or Greek or you can go with there world famous grilled burgers and chicken sandwiches. They have a wonderful lunch buffet at a very reasonable price daily. Out back you can sit in their patio that is covered overhead by a tent that is up all year round to keep the sun and rain out. Treat yourself to the entertainment during lunch, an authentic Middle Eastern Belly Dancer. She roams around the patio dancing to music while you eat and often gets patrons to dance with her. My favorite burger at BC is the San Francisco Grill, but lately I've been gravitating towards the buffet. BC is a must try for lunch or dinner. Very reasonable prices and great service.
