As far as I am concerned Hamburger Hamlet is an overhyped overpriced coffee shop with a bar. The atmosphere is a little better but the food and service are no better than what can be found at several coffee shops in Pasadena. In fact, I think that Conrad's and Coco's have better food and service for lower prices. I can't comment on their drinks as I do not like the taste of alcohol so I don't drink.

Another great place for a business luncheon in Pasadena. Go to the back lounge area to dine. Comfortable leather high back chairs around a fireplace. The service is excellent and the food is right on. They have a large selection of hamburgers with names like the Marilyn Monroe burger and the Bun-Less Bacon and Bleu Cheese Burger. You can order your burger 1/2 pound. Instead of the fries I usually ask for 'Those Potatoes' layers of Crusty, Golden Brown Hash Brown Potatoes mixed with Sour Cream. You better bring a big appetite with you.
