Today, over 5,000 wishes have been granted. The purpose of the Make-A-Wish Foundation is to grant the wish of each child who has reached the age of 2 1/2 and is under the age of 18 who has a life-threatening medical condition, i.e., a progressive, degenerative or malignant medical condition that has placed the child's life in jeopardy. Volunteers are an incredibly important asset to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles and we are always looking for new people to help us fulfill our mission.
