Over priced, uninspired food, poor service, uninviting setting. Popular place to be seen, go there only if you follow the crowd and care about being seen at an "in place".

Bland food - differing versions of spaghetti. You can have it any way you want it - but it will taste the same. Also, add-ons like scallops and shrimp are quoted in price per piece. I paid $2 for a scallop - but it was actually the best thing on the menu. I would go again only to order a plate of the scallops and the appetizer squid rings - which were delicious. This was a very boring and bland dining experience.

Been there twice, walked out twice. We had reservations but gave up after waiting over one hour each time. My sister and I, two women, were basicly ignored while men were seated quickly. When we complained we were told that maybe we should go elsewhere.

I've been to Mi Piace 3 times, and the experience was a bit different each time. 1st time: the wait was long, even with a reservation, but we had ten people in our party, so it was forgivable. The food was fantastic, and I loved whatever pasta I had. Because of it, I kept thinking about going back. Grade: B+ 2nd time: the wait wasn't bad this time, but it was also around 9:30PM, as we had come from another restaurant to have desserts here. The server seemed a bit cold, but I guess I couldn't really blame him as our party of 11 ordered only about 8 desserts and 3 drinks. The dessert was mediocre and drinks weren't very strong. Grade: C- 3rd time: went with my aunt and cousin. The food was above average, but whatever pasta I ordered wasn't the same as what I ordered the first time, so there's some disappointment on my end. My cousin seemed to like the food, as did my aunt, but I don't think prices are good for what you get. Grade: C So given the experiences I had the last two times, I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

Inconsistant. I've eaten here a few times, sometimes the cuisine is excellant and sometimes it's poor. Sometimes the service is ok (never great) and sometimes it is bad. There is always a long wait, even with reservations. I've given up on this place.

Mi Piace! Heaven in Pasadena. Beautiful ambiance, great food, Frank Sinatra--what else do you want? People watching? Okay. I love this restaurant and so does every person I've taken there in the over five years I have regularly eaten there. The service is a bit slow but the food is worth the wait and the servers are nice and real. And they remember you and what you eat/order. I have been eating something for years that isn't even on the menu anymore and yet they make it for me every week. And it's DELICIOUS. Who could do anything but love this place? Oh, and the wine list is great...as are the Metropolitans.
