Typical franchise chain restaurant. Long on advertizing promise, short on delivery. Sauces so heavy you can't taste the meats, baked beans so sweet they taste like sugar, over or under cooked baked potatos, slow inattentive service and poor atmosphere. I like BBQ ribs but not at Tony Romas.
Two things I like about Tony Romas. The BBQ and the bar. They have several types of ribs; baby back, pork, beef with several types of sauces. Carolina Honeys are my favorite. The service is usually decent. I enjoy heading to their bar for happy hour. They have 2 televisions to watch sporting events and the appetizer selection is quite tasty.
My children love this restaurant. They say that the ribs here are almost as good as their father makes on the grill in the backyard. They think the beans are fabulous. They think it's a grownup treat to be taken here. There is always plenty to eat with food leftover to take home. My husband and I also like the ribs and best of all, there's no mess at home for me to clean up. Click here to visit the website for Tony Romas
