I like eating outdoors, especially when the food is good and you can smell it cooking. The smell of beef being grilled can really wet the appetite. This restaurant's rib eye and pepper crusted steaks are tender and full of flavor. Their baby back ribs are excellent and their grilled corn on the cob is very good. It's nice to sit outdoors, even if there is a partial roof, in the evening with friends, having a good meal with a few drinks. It's very relaxing, especially when it does not cost an arm and a leg. Twin Palms prices are very reasonable.
Everything on the menu is well prepared and seems to be of high quality. The service is better than average and everything smells great. Everything, including the wines and cocktails, is very inexpensive for what you are getting.
This is one of my favorite places to hang out in Old Town Pasadena. It's an open air restaurant with a huge white permanent tent as the roof. It has large outdoor heaters for cool nights and a stage where live bands play after 8 pm. Two large bars serve potent drinks and there are plenty of qualified, attentive servers to help you throughout your visit. I enjoy their rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes. My wife prefers their pasta dishes. The prices are moderate and the ambience is enjoyable.
